The Salem Lions lost against the West Washington Senators back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Salem took a 36-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Washington. Salem has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Meredith Deaton led the charge by scoring 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was Deaton's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jayla Batt, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for West Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Salem will head out on the road to face off against Paoli at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Paoli focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for West Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mitchell at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th.
