The Longmont Trojans won against the Summit Tigers on Friday with 47 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Longmont took down Summit 47-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Longmont.
Longmont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaila Patterson out in front who scored 18 points along with 4 steals. Patterson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Savannah Pohl was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Summit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Doussouba Sylla. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Longmont's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Summit, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Longmont will be playing at home against Evergreen at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Summit is on the road again on Friday and play against Alamosa at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Alamosa is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
