There's no place like home for the Agua Dulce Longhorns, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They managed a 39-34 victory over Premont on Tuesday. For Agua Dulce, this counts as revenge for the 52-37 loss Premont walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Agua Dulce can attribute much of their success to Alyssa Vinton, who scored 17 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Vinton scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Avery Calvez, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Agua Dulce is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Premont, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Agua Dulce will be home for the holidays to greet Falfurrias at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Falfurrias is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Premont, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Gertrudis Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
