Seattle Academy couldn't beat Seattle Prep on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Cardinals fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Eli Herst was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. William Hendry was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Seattle Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Seattle Prep, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seattle Academy will square off against Ballard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 4, the Beavers 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Seattle Prep, they will face off against Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
