Softball Recap: Milford Has No Trouble Against Sharon

Milford got themselves on the board against Sharon on Sunday, but Sharon never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 16-0. The victory continues a trend for the Scarlet Hawks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Angelina Bonina and Cae Pellegrini were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bonina pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Pellegrini tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (two). At the plate, Bonina went 1-for-2 with three runs and one RBI, while Pellegrini got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Olivia Baglione was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ava Baglione was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Milford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Milford's record now sits at 9-7. As for Sharon, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
