If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Oak Harbor. On Friday they take on Marysville Getchell at 7:00 PM. Oak Harbor don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Oak Harbor fought the good fight in their overtime contest last Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. Oak Harbor didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 42-48 to Arlington. Oak Harbor's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Dorian Hardin, who rushed for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Marysville Getchell have to be hurting after a devastating 3-33 loss at the hands of Marysville-Pilchuck. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Marysville-Pilchuck enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Oak Harbor took the matchup and then some with a 49-7 win the last time the two teams met over Marysville Getchell. Will Oak Harbor repeat their success, or does Marysville Getchell have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
