Softball Recap: St. Ursula Academy Drops Season-High Score on Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Ursula Academy). They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

St. Ursula Academy got a massive performance out of J Booth, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Booth has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was A Cosgray, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Booth wasn't the only one making solid contact: St. Ursula Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy only managed three hits.

The win (which was St. Ursula Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Ursula Academy will welcome Ursuline Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Madeira at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
