South Hagerstown was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Catoctin. The Rebels came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
Brunswick was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Monocacy Valley - Antietam. Earlier in the week, the Railroaders triumphed over Williamsport 40-0.
North Hagerstown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nick Karlen threw for 89 and one touchdown and Tre Anderson had 89 yards receiving. On the ground Kyle Hewlett chipped in 172 yards.
North Hagerstown's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hubs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Karlen has thrown for 728 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Anderson has 18 catches for 352 yards. Hewlett leads the league in rushing with 679 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Boonsboro takes on Brunswick. The Warriors are in third place, while Patt Foster's team is in fourth place.
South Hagerstown extended the longest winning streak in Monocacy Valley - Antietam this week by beating the Cougars, 40-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
