The McDonough Warhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season. They blew past White Hall 64-38. Given McDonough's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Georgia, while White Hall is ranked 56th in Arkansas), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Keenan Gray, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nigel Thomas, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
McDonough's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for White Hall, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
McDonough will be playing at home against Luella at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. White Hall and Benton will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Benton will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
