Kaden Floyd turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three hits surrendered on Monday. He turned in his biggest game of the season, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of West Jessamine's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-10-1 when he doesn't).

Floyd's strong effort led West Jessamine over Burgin and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts are a perfect 10-0 against the Bulldogs going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
