Softball Recap: Senn Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Senn had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Proviso East Pirates a 7-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Audrey Lebovitz, who gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks to keep Proviso East off the board. Lebovitz has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pippa Gerharz was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases and one run. Ericka Ako was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double.

Senn's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-6. As for Proviso East, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

As of now, neither Senn nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
