In what's become a running theme this season, the Brown County Hornets gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They put the hurt on Astoria/VIT with a sharp 66-41 win. Winning may never get old, but Brown County sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Despite the loss, Astoria/VIT saw an underclassman step up: KATE STAMBAUGH scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was ABBIE STEVENSON, who scored four points along with three steals.
Brown County pushed their record up to 23-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Astoria/VIT, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-25 record this season.
Brown County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Astoria/VIT also has no future games currently scheduled.
