Conant made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Barrington, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars fell just short of the Fillies/Broncos by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Conant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Falcone, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Barrington, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-2-1.

Looking ahead, Conant will host Saint Viator at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Barrington, they will venture away from home to face off against Lockport at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
