It was a good run, but the New Prairie Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. Their rough 48-28 defeat to DeKalb might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points New Prairie has scored all season.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Jolie Johns and
Morgan White, who each put up six points. Johns also led the team in rebounds with seven.
Jayden Flagg took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.
New Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for DeKalb, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Prairie won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Noble at 5:00 p.m. on December 30th. East Noble is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. DeKalb won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Goshen is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
