Softball Recap: Archbishop Spalding Has No Trouble Against Catholic

Archbishop Spalding won the last time they faced Catholic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cavaliers put the hurt on Catholic with a sharp 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Codi made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Codi was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emily Ford, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. She also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season. Ryanne Clark was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Archbishop Spalding kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
