Kendall Workman posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. She struck out nine batters over 7.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk).

Looking ahead, Workman and Escondido will welcome Ramona at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Workman had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their match back in April of 2024 12-1.
