Point Loma took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Poway, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pointers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pointers have posted since August 16th.

Despite the loss, Poway still got an impressive performance from Jenna Adelman, who had ten digs and one assist.

Point Loma's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Poway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Point Loma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Otay Ranch on the 13th. As for Poway, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Mica Mountain on the 13th.
