After flying high against the New Milford Knights last Thursday, the Dumont Huskies came back down to earth. Dumont took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northern Highlands on Saturday. Dumont was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northern Highlands apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
Lucas Dipasupil continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northern Highlands, scoring 22 points along with six steals. Dipasupil is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Boydell, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Dumont's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Northern Highlands, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.
Dumont will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ridgefield Park at 7:00 p.m. As for Northern Highlands, they will head out on the road to take on Ramapo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Ramapo is ranked 21st, while Northern Highlands is ranked 35th).
