It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Parish Episcopal Panthers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 40-29. The win was familiar territory for Parish Episcopal who now have nine in a row.
Maddux Reid was his usual excellent self, rushing for 193 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Anderson, who threw for 154 yards and a touchdown.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Johann Cardenas, who rushed for 60 yards and three touchdowns. Cardenas hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for nine straight games. Luke Edgecomb also helped out as he racked up 117 receiving yards.
Parish Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for St. Thomas Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-1.
Parish Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Thomas Catholic also has no future games currently scheduled.
