Heritage Academy has gone a perfect 4-0 against Ridgeline Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Heroes will head out to take on the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Heritage Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 31-0 margin over Imagine Prep Superstition. The Heroes have beaten the Panthers the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Francesca Johnson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those five runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sarahi Rico was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Person, who scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Heritage Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .690. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Ridgeline Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Imagine Prep Superstition on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Panthers 20-3.
Maddie Martinez and Gretchen Clower did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez scored three runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-4, while Clower went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. That home run marked the first that Clower launched this season. Another player making a difference was Makenna Hepting, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Ridgeline Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Heritage Academy, their record is now 13-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Heritage Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .484. However, it's not like Ridgeline Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .487. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Heritage Academy's way against Ridgeline Academy when the teams last played on Thursday, as Heritage Academy made off with a 14-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Heroes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
