Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Old Town). They came out on top against the Caribou Vikings by a score of 11-6 on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Coyotes considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Julian Duty was a standout: he went 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Alex McCannell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Old Town hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.

Old Town is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Caribou, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Old Town didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 loss against Orono on the 3rd. As for Caribou, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-2 win against Fort Kent on the 2nd.
