Fairfield Prep's John DelliSanti rumbled for the longest rushing play in Southern Connecticut Division I - West this season in his game against Stamford last week. DelliSanti's team topped the Black Knights as he sprinted for 65 yards on the play and finished with 63 in all.
Amity Regional and Seymour played the closest game in the league this week, with Amity Regional eventually emerging with a 24-21 victory.
Shelton's dynamic duo of Mark Piccirillo and Jason Thompson proved to be unstoppable against Trumbull, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Piccirillo threw for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns and Thompson had 41 yards receiving.
The Gaels' dynamic duo of Piccirillo and Thompson proved tough for the Golden Eagles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Maliek Williamson was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 203 yards on 22 carries as Hamden defeated Trumbull. Teammate Kwadir Delgado added to the ground attack by rushing for 20 yards.
Thompson was the best receiver in Southern Connecticut Division I - West this week as Jeff Roy's team topped Robert Maffei's team.
Piccirillo put up the best numbers through the air as the Gaels defeated the Golden Eagles.
The leading receiver in the league this season is DelliSanti. The Fairfield Prep star has 4 catches for 44 yards.
Shelton took down Trumbull 57-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Piccirillo ran for 120 yards during the win.
