The Eastchester Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Harrison Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Eastchester had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt New Rochelle on Saturday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Huguenots a 12-0 shutout. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Huguenots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Sabrina Cosgrove was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

In other batting news, Sophia Gutierrez and Kylie Reardon did most of the damage at the plate: Gutierrez went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs, while Reardon went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Reardon a new career-high. Elianna Baez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Eastchester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Rochelle only posted an OBP of .118.
Harrison came out on top against Fox Lane on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Huskies won by a run and slipped past the Foxes 10-9.
Fionnuala Rallis was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. EvgEnia Rallis was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Eastchester's record is now 5-0. As for Harrison, their record now sits at 6-2.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eastchester has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .552. However, it's not like Harrison struggles in that department as they've averaged .447. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eastchester came out on top in a nail-biter against Harrison in their previous meeting last Thursday, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
