The Riverview Sharks lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. Their rough 63-41 defeat to East Bay might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Riverview has suffered yet this season.
East Bay can attribute much of their success to Amare Baran, who scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Curry Staples, who scored 11 points.
Riverview are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13. As for East Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview and Freedom will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for East Bay, they will head out on the road to challenge Blake at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
