That's the most runs Klehr has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Sokan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Hersey pushed their record up to 24-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Palatine, their loss dropped their record down to 21-9.
Palatine's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Pirates have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Hersey, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Palatine continue to outrun the ball?
