Blackville-Hilda's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Messiah Mcfadden, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. Mcfadden is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Arkel Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five steals.
Blackville-Hilda's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Wagener-Salley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Blackville-Hilda will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Denmark-Olar presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Fighting Hawks in South Carolina (the Vikings are ranked 95th, while the Fighting Hawks are ranked 267th). As for Wagener-Salley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
