Elgin owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Crestline Bulldogs. Considering the Comets have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Elgin's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Crestline, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elgin will welcome Ridgedale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestline, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Vanlue at 5:00 p.m.
