The Community Baptist Christian Cougar entered their tilt with the Colonial Christian Cougars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Community Baptist Christian really took it to Colonial Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-37 victory on the road. Community Baptist Christian pushed the score to 61-30 by the end of the third, a deficit Colonial Christian had no chance of recovering from.
It was another big night for Jay Clifton, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. He hasn't dropped below 18 points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Layne Cook, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Colonial Christian still got an impressive performance from Josias Lafontaine, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lafontaine has scored all season.
Colonial Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Community Baptist Christian racked up 20 assists.
Community Baptist Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Colonial Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
