Overton won the last time they faced Axtell and things went their way on Monday too. The Overton Eagles strolled past the Axtell Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 51-35.

Daisy Ryan had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Halynn Hughes, who posted eight points and five steals.

Overton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 39 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 48 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Axtell's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Danburg, who put up 11 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Danburg a new career-high in shooting accuracy (67%). Bristol Thorell was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Overton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Axtell, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Overton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 43-37 loss against Wilcox-Hildreth on the 6th. As for Axtell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-17 defeat against Ansley/Litchfield on the 6th.
