Bryan is 1-7 against Evergreen since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bryan Golden Bears will head out on the road to take on the Evergreen Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Bryan is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, Bryan was able to grind out a solid victory over Bath, taking the game 48-37. That 11 point margin sets a new team best for Bryan this season.
Sam Herold was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 21 points. Gavin Jaessing was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Evergreen was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 51-45 to Archbold.
Bryan's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Evergreen, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Bryan might still be hurting after the 76-54 loss they got from Evergreen when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Bryan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
