In what's become a running theme this season, the Imagine Prep Storm gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by West Phoenix at home to the tune of 83-41. The win was just what Imagine Prep needed coming off of a 84-61 defeat in their prior contest.
Imagine Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hayden Kelton led the charge by scoring 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kelton has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Cassidy, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and seven steals.
Imagine Prep's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.79 points. As for West Phoenix, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Imagine Prep will take on Dream City Christian Open at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Dream City Christian Open is ranked 18th, while Imagine Prep is ranked 25th). As for West Phoenix, they will be playing at home against Southwest Leadership Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest Leadership Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
