The Kingman Bulldogs lost against the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kingman ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-33 walloping at the hands of the Shamrocks. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kingman in their matchups with the Shamrocks: they've now lost eight in a row.
Yuma Catholic was led to victory by Sadie Estes and Amanda Wiley. Estes almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals, while Wiley dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Wiley is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Clarissa Meza was another key contributor, scoring three points along with four steals.
Kingman has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Yuma Catholic, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingman will take on the Broncs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Parker presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Arizona (the Broncs are ranked 101st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 275th). As for Yuma Catholic, they will be playing at home against the Dust Devils at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. River Valley is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
