The Glades Central Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the King's Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Glades Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32.8 points per game this season.
Glades Central is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Sebring on Thursday. The Raiders and the Blue Streaks were almost perfectly matched up, but the Raiders suffered a 14-13 loss. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Although Glades Central took the loss, they still got scores from Juder Joseph and Algernod Crawford.

Glades Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Wade Antoine and Jaylin Bouie. Bouie has been hot, having also posted at least one defended passe the last seven times he's played.
Meanwhile, King's Academy slipped by Benjamin 13-12 on Friday.
Glades Central better keep an eye on Fletcher Hodges. He was instrumental in King's Academy's win, rushing for 154 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. Hodges got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 78 yards.
One reason for the win was King's Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Ardin Jeanty with two.
King's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.5 points on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Glades Central fell to 7-1.
Glades Central skirted past King's Academy 17-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Lions' Joe Dailey, who rushed for 50 yards and one TD, and also threw for 174 yards and one touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Raiders to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
