Elgin owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the MacArthur Highlanders with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won 18 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Tres Lorah's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ritson Meyer, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mason Thornton, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Elgin's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for MacArthur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.

Coming up, Elgin will face off against Edmond North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for MacArthur, they will host Tahlequah at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
