The Sierra Stallions are taking a road trip to take on the Green Mountain Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Sierra is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They breezed past Dakota Ridge to the tune of 57-22. The Stallions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sierra smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain came tearing into last Wednesday's game with 19 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Farmers 64-29. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Green Mountain's win came from a few key players Sierra will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ella Cockrum, who went 6-for-7 en route to 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. Kantyn Pearson was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.
Green Mountain's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.5 points. As for Sierra, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sierra has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Green Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Sierra took a serious blow against Green Mountain when the teams last played back in March of 2020, falling 64-33. Can Sierra avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
