The Wagner Thunderbirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Seguin 64-40. The victory was some much needed relief for Wagner as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Wagner was led to victory by Daimen Ramirez and Romeo Hall. Ramirez scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Hall scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Trevaun Clark was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Wagner's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Seguin, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
Wagner will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tivy at 6:30 p.m. Tivy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 931 points over their last 14 matchups. As for Seguin, they will head out on the road to face off against Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Veterans Memorial will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.
