The Freire Charter Dragon entered their tilt with the Thomas A. Edison Owls with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Freire Charter strolled past Thomas A. Edison with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 50-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Freire Charter also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.
Freire Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abdul Lo, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ibrahim Mahmoud was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five steals.
Freire Charter pushed their record up to 6-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Thomas A. Edison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
Coincidentally, Freire Charter and Thomas A. Edison will both be playing Bodine the next time they take the court. Freire Charter will host Bodine at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Thomas A. Edison will host them at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
