If the North Huron Warriors were feeling good off their 39-19 takedown of the Peck Pirates last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North Huron had to suffer through a rough 73-19 loss at the hands of Kingston. While losing is never fun, North Huron can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 445th, while Kingston is ranked 61st).
Despite the loss, North Huron still got an impressive performance from Sara Koth, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks. Koth hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, North Huron struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
North Huron's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Kingston, their victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Huron will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Carsonville-Port Sanilac at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Kingston, they will face off against Imlay City at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
