Basketball Recap: Ursuline Academy Piles Up the Points Against St. Mark's

A well-balanced attack led Ursuline Academy over St. Mark in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Ursuline Academy Raiders blew the St. Mark's Spartans out of the water with a 55-27 final score. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Spartans are ranked 34th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ursuline Academy pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for St. Mark's, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Ursuline Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mark's, they will welcome Padua Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Padua Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something St. Mark's surely won't give up without a fight.
