Wimberley dropped down to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 21-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lago Vista Vikings. Despite 61 more yards than the Vikings, the Texans couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Maverick Jacobs and Bennett German certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Jacobs rushed for 101 yards and one score, while German picked up 154 receiving yards.

As for Lago Vista, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.7 points on average over those games.

Lago Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tripp Henderson, who threw for 221 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards. What's more, Henderson posted two passing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. 92 of Henderson's passing yards were hauled in by Brock Morton, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

As of now, neither Wimberley nor Lago Vista have any future games scheduled.
