The Boulder City Eagles will face off against The Meadows School Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Boulder City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Boulder City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Pahrump Valley as they made off with a 9-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

Tate Crine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Boulder City is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 12-13 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gauge Rhodes, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Aiden Duke also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, The Meadows School entered their tilt with Boulder City on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 14-10.
James Nelson was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
In other batting news, The Meadows School let Simon Tesfaye and Hudson Falb run wild. Tesfaye got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Falb went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Tesfaye has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor McGill, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one double.
The Meadows School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Boulder City's record is now 20-13. As for The Meadows School, their record now sits at 20-12.
Saturday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Boulder City has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like The Meadows School struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
