The Calvin Christian Crusaders just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvin Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
Calvin Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 70-29 victory over Julian. With the Crusaders ahead 49-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvin Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sawyer Goggin, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards. Goggin's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Lapka, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.
Calvin Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.
Meanwhile, Escondido Adventist Academy beat La Sierra Academy 38-29 on Wednesday.
Escondido Adventist Academy had a senior duo take command as Ethan Villamil posted eight points in addition to ten boards and three steals and Ethan Lee shot 46% from the field en route to 13 points and eight rebounds. Villamil is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Zach Baker was another key player, putting up six points along with five boards and three steals.
The win got Calvin Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Escondido Adventist Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Calvin Christian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Escondido Adventist Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 26.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
