Jay Martin was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Martin is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Katcher Taylor was another key contributor, picking up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Highland's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Even more impressive is the teams they beat to make that streak: American Leadership Academy, Williams Field, and Red Mountain. As for American Leadership Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.
Highland will head out on the road to face off against Queen Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for American Leadership Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williams Field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Williams Field is ranked 15th, while American Leadership Academy is ranked eighth).
