Volleyball Recap: Brookfield's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Brookfield's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Crestview Rebels, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Brookfield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-17.

Leading Crestview to victory were Addison Wendell and Alaina Auer. Wendell had 14 digs and one assist, while Auer hit 67.4% for 31 kills and eight digs and two blocks. Auer is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 32 games she's played dating back to last season.

Brookfield's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Crestview, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
