Even though the Alpharetta Raiders scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, the Lovett Lions still came out on top. Lovett took their match against Alpharetta 67-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lovett.
Lovett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Rees, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Rees also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kingston Whitty, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Lovett now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Alpharetta, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Lovett and Midtown will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Midtown is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. Alpharetta and West Forsyth will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. West Forsyth will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
