Durant blew past Riverview, posting a 76-46 victory on the road. Given Durant's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Riverview is ranked 650th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Durant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Bokor led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Wylde Correa was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Durant's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Riverview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
Durant won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bloomingdale at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Riverview, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Newsome at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th. Newsome is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
