The Victoria Knights lost against the Ellsworth Bearcats back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Victoria falling 41-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points they have scored all season.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Schmidtberger, who scored eight points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Ethan Vonlintel, who scored four points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Victoria struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Victoria now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Ellsworth, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victoria will take on Ellis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ellsworth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
