Wheatland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were  outmatched by the Mitchell Tigers and fell  44-14. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Those  three  receiving touchdowns gave  Galloway a new career-high. Mitchell also got a significant boost from  Josh Hazzard, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
 Looking ahead, Wheatland will take on Torrington at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Mitchell, they will face off against Gering at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
