After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunnyslope, the Pinnacle Pioneers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 win over O'Connor. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Pinnacle has posted since December 11, 2023.
Pinnacle found their leader in underclassman Kareem Alkhalifa, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Jameson Vick was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six assists.
Pinnacle's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for O'Connor, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-7.
Pinnacle will head out on the road to face off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Boulder Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 games. As for O'Connor, they will be playing at home against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
