Nucla and Simla squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Nucla had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cubs by a score of 5-3. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Nucla saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Bray, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Nucla's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Simla, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

Nucla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Simla, they will head out on the road to face off against Akron at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cubs 3.2, the Rams 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
